BikeTrak is a GPS device attachable to your bicycle that will alert you
if your bike is moved unexpectedly and track the bike if it is stolen.

It will pinpoint location coordinates via GPS satellites and communicate them via common wireless carrier to a personal device such as cell phone, PDA, or computer. If a GPS signal cannot be obtained, unit will cycle back to GSM or GPRS (such as terrestrial cell towers) or A-GPS to establish a less exact location until a regular GPS multi-satellite signal can be achieved.

In its preferred configuration, this device will be signaled by a cell phone BikeTrak APP. It will be different from current asset tracking devices by qualities of low power usage, low cost and small size. 


BikeTrak is in Prototype stage at present.  Our first test ride took place the weekend of March 5th.  Here is a screenshot of the tracking of the first ride:
